Vault 7: Colbert and CNN Shill Propaganda for CIA

Many in the mainstream media rushed to defend the CIA after Wikileaks' release of Vault 7. CNN assured their audience that the leaks were nothing to worry about, while Stephen Colbert gave a platform for a former CIA director to insist that the agency is not spying on Americans devices. Given the known collusion between these programs, and the political establishment (including the known associations between Stephen Colbert and individuals such as John Podesta), is this part of a similar organized propaganda campaign to convince Americans to give up more of their rights as supported by the CIA?
