Russia: CNN's Qatar hacking reports 'further undermine its reputation' - Lavrov
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov dismissed a CNN report on the alleged involvement of Russian hackers in the current diplomatic spat between Qatar and its Gulf neighbours, Wednesday, saying it "further undermined its reputation as an independent and objective media outlet."
Speaking from Moscow alongside his Spanish counterpart Alfonso Dastis Quecedo, Lavrov stated that CNN and other Western media outlets "sit and wait for any kind of a scandal or a fishy story to automatically and without any evidence blame it on Russia or Russian hackers, or someone else somehow related to Russia."

I wish him to have a look at what has happened to the product of his talent. I think that CNN and some other media are not worthy enough to carry this title as it's more about providing disinformation rather than information. They sit and wait for any kind of a scandal or a fishy story to automatically and without any evidence blame it on Russia or Russian hackers or someone else somehow related to Russia. There is nothing else I can add at this stage. I would like to repeat that it's a pity that CNN is trying so hard to undermine its own reputation."
